Journalist : "Hi Call Me Venus, we are really happy to receive you today... First of all, can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your music?"

Call Me Venus : " Hi, I'm so happy to be here, thank you for the invite...Well, in brief, I'm a French singer-songwriter who makes dark pop and electro pop music. I've been writing and performing my own music for a few years now, and I'm currently getting ready to release my first EP."

Journalist : "You told me that you began music at 13 years old right ? It's a very young age, were you already thinking about a music career ?"

Call Me Venus : " Yes, that's correct. I actually started playing guitar and writing songs at 13 years old, and from that moment on, I knew that music was what I wanted to do with my life. Even at such a young age, I was already dreaming of a career in the music industry and I spent every spare moment practicing and honing my craft. There was never a doubt in my mind that music was my passion and I was determined to do everything in my power to make it a reality. And now, years later, I'm grateful to say that I'm living my dream as a singer-songwriter and I wouldn't have it any other way."

Journalist : " Who were/are your biggest musical influences?"

Call Me Venus : " Well, to be honest, I have so many references in the music industry. That's probably because I'm a real music lover and I love any kind of music. But if I have to name a few of them I'd say Lana Del Rey first... She is definitely one of my biggest inspirations. I love the mood and atmosphere she creates in her music. It's so deep, so cinematic and vintage, it's perfect, there's no other word. Second, I'd say Billie Eilish, London Grammar and Depeche Mode. Very different styles but I think their music has influenced my own sound since a few years now..."

Journalist : " I heard your two tracks Strange World & Desire which I really love. For me, Strange World is an ode to love and the confusion that often comes with it. With catchy rhythms and evocative lyrics, the track transports us to a mystical and enveloping world. Desire (my favorite) is another sensual and evocative track, exploring the deepest human desires and needs. What can you say about these two tracks ? And does your songs always talk about love ?

Call Me Venus: " Thank you, I'm very glad you like the tracks. First things first, I absolutely love the way you describe the songs and love the fact that you interpret the lyrics that way. Strange world is actually a very dark song, and honestly when I wrote it I was not thinking about love, so its interesting to hear that you interpret this song as an ode to love. Desire is an evocative track as you said. Actually the lyrics speak for themselves..

Journalist : " I know you are working on your first EP, what can listeners expect from it ? And what has been the biggest challenge in creating this EP ?"

Call Me Venus: " I think they can expect a lot of moody and atmospheric tracks, with a mix of electronic and organic instrumentation. There are definitely some darker themes in my music, but I always try to balance that out with some more uplifting moments as well. The biggest challenge hum ? That's a really good question... I think it has been finding the right sound and atmosphere for each track. I've been experimenting a lot with different production techniques, and it's been a bit of a journey to figure out what works best for each song. But I think I'm getting there !"

Journalist : "What are your plans for the future, after the EP release ?"

Call Me Venus: "I'm definitely planning on doing some live shows... I think my music would work really well in a more intimate setting, with a really atmospheric vibe. And of course, I'll be continuing to write and record new music, hopefully building on the sound I've established with this EP."

Journalist : " All right... I think we are done, thank you so much Call Me Venus for taking the time to answer my questions, it was a pleasure speaking with you and getting to know more about your music. We are eagerly waiting for the EP!"

Call Me Venus: " Thank you for having me... Ah..I'm working on it, I'm working on it..."
